A 19thC Cast Iron Gothic Design Garden Bench found on an old Long Island North Shore Estate, that is at least 95 years old. The bench was left on the property by prior owners, remaining in the same spot for years. The wooden seat, has 5 wooden slats that may be original or with the bench for many years, these slats are cracked and split and would need replacing, However, if you love the old rustic garden look just leave the bench as is. The cast iron is not repaired or broken anywhere. Please notice the griffens on the ends of the arms, which are best seen from the side views of the bench
Coalbrookdale register "Gothic" design Bench in 1854, & Wood & Perot issued their design in 1858., Without a marking it is impossible to know who made it, since posting a wind storm did additional damage to the seat which can be seen in the last 2 images
Height: 37, Diameter: 46

The Lily of the Valley is a rare pattern, The bench here is signed "Pequonnock Foundry Inc, Bridgeport Conn". I bought this grp as a set but in recently having them painted, the chairs appear to be signed by Coalbrookdale! The detail on the chairs is excellent & by examining the photos below you can see the lilies on the chairs, the chairs have the english registry mark along with "Bdale" the bench at the widest part where the arms and seat meet is 56\" long, but the back is much less, the chairs besides being comfortable are 26\" wide & 22\" deep
