Roux, with 2 orginal drawers, His firm was active in New York City, 1836–80, Documented pieces by Roux are rare particularly of his earlier period of which this is an excellent example, The original marble has a groove or indentation around the perimeter of the marble top, It also has the 2 drawers which are usually not found on marble top center tables or as in this case a writing table with a marble top.
