An Important set of 6 Mahogany & Mahogany Veneer chairs made by Duncan Phyfe New York circa 1830. These chairs are virtually identical to the chairs Phyfe made for his daughter Eliza & descended in the Phyfe/Vail family.Please see the photo below shown in the Nancy McClelland book of Eliza's chair. This set was part of the classical furnishings that were assembled by Page Talbott for the NJ Governor's mansion called Drumthwacket. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is opening an exhibit of Phyfe Furniture, Dec 20 2011, & there is an identical chair in the exhibit which can be seen by clicking here:

A New York Stenciled Card table circa 1825, with a lyre & stencil decoration, french polished, attributed to Deming & Bulkley. This firm was know for their practice of gilt stenciling and pen work, bringing this decoration to a high art form. The apron of this table has 5 different stencil designs

An Important Paper Labeled Meeks and Sons Table, label dates from 1829-1835 & is the label used before the famous J&JW Meeks Label, paper labeled pieces are definitely museum quality and hard to come by.
